TSG

Talexto Strategy Group (TSG) is a healthcare advisory platform built on a simple premise: organizations achieve better outcomes when they can access experienced professionals who combine strategic insight with practical execution. TSG brings together accomplished leaders from across the healthcare ecosystem—including life sciences, medical technology, healthcare delivery, clinical practice, education, and other complex organizational environments—to provide the expertise, guidance, coaching, and hands-on support organizations need to solve critical business and operational challenges. Rather than relying solely on traditional consulting models or adding permanent executive headcount, clients engage TSG as advisors, coaches, trainers, interim leaders, and project partners. Whether launching a product, developing clinical evidence, strengthening commercial capabilities, improving operations, navigating organizational change, or accelerating growth, TSG provides flexible expertise that moves seamlessly from strategy to execution.

BACKGROUND

TSG was founded in 2012 by Keith Watts, DBA, MBA, a life sciences and medical device strategist with more than 30 years of experience across pharmaceutical sales and training, medical device clinical affairs, outcomes research, health economics, and commercial strategy for both early-stage and publicly traded companies. TSG has since grown into a multidisciplinary platform, bringing together senior partners across commercial, clinical, leadership, and investment advisory disciplines to extend that same operating depth across every engagement. That breadth of experience shapes TSG’s operating style: evidence-forward, relationship-driven, and designed to earn credibility with clinical and commercial decision-makers.

What TSG Delivers

TSG is organized around four practice areas: Commercial Strategy and Market Development; Clinical Affairs and Evidence Development; Leadership Development and Organizational Effectiveness; and Healthcare Venture and Investment Advisory. Each practice area is led by a partner with deep operating experience in the domain.

WHO TSG SERVES

TSG’s target client profile:
  • Early-stage and growth-stage life sciences and medical device companies that need senior clinical, commercial, and economic expertise but cannot justify or afford full-time executive headcount in those functions.
  • Mid-market and emerging life sciences companies preparing for commercialization, seeking regulatory navigation support, building evidence packages, or developing clinical market access strategies.
  • Private equity and venture investors conducting pre- or post-investment due diligence on life sciences, diagnostic, and medical device companies, requiring operating expertise rather than financial modeling alone.
  • Healthcare organizations — hospitals, health systems, and clinical associations — seeking accredited CEU/CME programming for clinical staff, evidence-based clinical education content, or advisory support for wound care and critical care program development.
  • Sales and commercial organizations in life sciences, biotech, and medical device sectors seeking to build or retrain field teams around evidence-based clinical engagement — in both structured training environments and in the field.

TSG DIFFERENTIATORS

• Operating depth, not advisory theory.
TSG’s partners have held P&L responsibility, led field organizations, negotiated acquisitions, generated clinical outcomes data, and presented evidence to hospital committees. They have done the work, not simply observed it.
• Evidence-forward positioning.
TSG does not shape clinical or economic evidence to fit a preferred commercial conclusion. Its methodology is grounded in defensible data, transparent sources, and the principle that clinicians and institutional decision-makers deserve accurate information rather than advocacy presented as expertise.
Two characteristics distinguish TSG from both independent consultants and large generalist consulting firms:

Senior Advisors Expertise

Dr. Keith Watts

Dr. Keith Watts

Life Sciences Specialist
Keith Watts is a healthcare strategist, commercial advisor, and educator whose advantage is experienced observation. Keith began in specialty and hospital pharmaceutical sales and advanced through district and national commercial leadership - including senior roles at ICI/Stuart Pharmaceuticals (now AstraZeneca) and Schering-Plough - before serving as President and CEO of Ascio Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and years as a consultant in medical device clinical affairs, outcomes research, and health economics. Carrying the bag, leading the teams, and sitting with clinicians taught him to see what the data alone can’t - and what it takes to move a clinician, a sales force, and an executive team to act. He holds a DBA in Healthcare Administration (Northcentral University), an MBA (University of Memphis), and a BBA in Finance (Morehead State University), and he serves as adjunct faculty and a recognized educator.
